Origis powers up Golden Triangle II solar-BESS combo in Mississippi

The 150-MWac Golden Triangle II solar farm with 50 MW of battery storage by Origis Energy in Mississippi has reached commercial operation. Two more projects are planned, including Golden Triangle I and Optimist. Origis will operate these plants for the Tennessee Valley Authority to power large industrial customers. The construction contractor is RES, while Prevalon Energy is supplying the batteries. The complex will be completed in 2025 with 1.5 million solar panels powering 126,000 homes.
