ORIX to build 134-MW energy storage plant in Japan

ORIX Corporation announced the construction of a 134-MW/548-MWh power grid energy storage plant in Maibara, Shiga Prefecture. The Maibara-Koto Energy Storage Plant will have 140 containers of lithium-ion storage batteries and is scheduled to begin operations in 2027.
