Panama cancels renewables auction

Panama's National Secretariat of Energy launched its first renewable energy tender in 10 years in February, including battery storage systems. However, the tender was suspended due to transparency concerns and the need for adjustments. Panama had approximately 570 MW of installed PV capacity by the end of 2023, with an addition of 40 MW of new solar installations last year.
