Panasonic introduces new home battery

Panasonic North America has introduced the new generation of its EverVolt home battery, which is a modular energy storage device supporting both DC and AC coupling. The storage system includes a hybrid inverter, a lithium-ferro-phosphate battery, and the SmartBox, a home energy management device. Each battery module offers 4.6 kWh of usable energy, with a maximum of 18.4 kWh per battery. Multiple batteries can be connected to one SmartBox, providing up to 30 kW of power and 72 kWh of usable energy. The system allows for solar module connection with maximum power point trackers, continuous backup power, and efficient utilization of solar capacity through PV oversizing.
