Pattern Energy signs PPA for 150-MW wind project in Quebec

Pattern Energy Group LP has signed a 30-year power purchase agreement with Hydro-Quebec for the 150-MW Broughton Wind project in Quebec. The project is a CAD 500 million venture located in Saint-Pierre-de-Broughton, Sacre-Coeur-de-Jesus, and Thetford Mines, expected to start construction in 2028 and become operational by 2029, generating electricity to power over 25,000 homes a year. Pattern Energy currently operates 1,980 MW in Canada and aims to double its capacity in Quebec.
