Researchers at Hangzhou Dianzi University in China have developed a perovskite solar cell with a multifunctional additive called potassium trifluoromethanesulfonate (KTFS) to reduce lead vacancy defects in the perovskite film. The study shows that KTFS enhances the film's surface morphology and crystallinity, reducing lead impurities and improving stability. The modified cell achieved a power conversion efficiency of 23.96% and demonstrated lower hysteresis compared to the control device.
