Researchers at Hangzhou Dianzi University in China fabricated a perovskite solar cell using potassium trifluoromethanesulfonate (KTFS) to reduce lead vacancy defects. KTFS interacts with perovskite to inhibit non-radiative recombination. The study showed improvements in surface morphology and crystallinity using KTFS. The modified film had fewer lead impurities and maintained efficiency better over time.
