Petrobras to study wind pilot project offshore Rio de Janeiro

Brazilian state-run oil and gas company Petrobras has partnered with Rio de Janeiro state government to study offshore wind power feasibility. The agreement aims at testing new technologies and identifying key challenges for competitiveness. Engineering and Technology Director, Carlos Travassos, mentioned analyzing future opportunities after sector regulations. It also involves evaluating a CO2 capturing and storage hub in Rio de Janeiro.
