Danish manufacturer Vestas plans to build Scotland's first wind turbine blade factory in Leith, Edinburgh. The factory is part of Scotland's green freeports initiative and is expected to create hundreds of high-skill jobs. Vestas' new offshore blade design, B236, will be produced at the facility. The company is awaiting more clarity on orders and market outlook before making a final investment decision.
