Researchers from Pandit Deendayal Energy University in India created a model to select the best locations for hybrid solar and wind power plants in India. They found that hybridization could increase yearly power output significantly in various regions of India. The study also focused on retrofitting existing standalone PV and wind plants into hybrid installations, indicating successful results especially for wind installations. The research aims to help project developers and policymakers in choosing optimum sites for reliable hybrid wind and solar power plants.
