President of Azerbaijan supports the Black Sea underwater cable project

Azerbaijan's President, Ilham Aliyev, expressed support for the Black Sea underwater cable project during a joint press conference with Bulgaria's President, Rumen Radev. The two countries have been strategic partners since 2015 with growing bilateral relations, particularly in the energy sector. Azerbaijan's gas exports to Bulgaria have increased significantly, reaching 1.25 billion cubic meters in 2023 and expected to rise to 1.5 billion cubic meters in 2024. Aliyev highlighted the potential for green energy cooperation and discussed the upcoming COP29 conference.
