PV string fault detection technique based on multi-layer neural network

A group of researchers from India has proposed a novel PV string fault detection technique utilizing multi-layer neural network. The MLNN technique can detect, classify, and localize line-to-ground (L-G) and line-to-line (L-L) faults with high accuracy. It only requires one current sensor per string and can handle complex computations efficiently. The technique was trained on diverse datasets considering environmental conditions and achieved an accuracy of 98.76% for fault detection.
