PVEL releases tenth edition of ‘PV Module Reliability Scorecard’

PV Evolution Labs (PVEL) published its 2024 PV Module Reliability Scorecard, naming 388 model types of PV modules as Top Performers. The Scorecard includes expanded PQP testing and new categories for hail, LID+LETID, PAN. Kevin Gibson, managing director of Kiwa PVEL, emphasized the importance of solar module reliability and performance. Tristan Erion-Lorico highlighted the need for vigilance in procurement decisions. Notable results include 66% of manufacturers experiencing test failures and the focus on hail testing.
