QatarEnergy to build 2 GW solar plant

QatarEnergy, a state-owned petroleum company, is planning to build a 2 GW solar facility in Dukhan, Qatar. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, the Energy Minister and CEO of QatarEnergy, announced this renewable energy initiative to reduce CO2 emissions and diversify electricity production. The project aims to double Qatar's solar capacity, with ongoing projects like the Al-Kharsaah solar plant.
