Qcells, Brightnight sign solar PV, BESS contracts with utility Puget Sound in Washington, US

Puget Sound Energy in Washington, US, has signed contracts for a solar PV project by Qcells and a battery storage project by Brightnight and Cordelio Power. Qcells received a conditional loan guarantee of US$1.45 billion. Puget Sound Energy is adding a 1,500MW energy storage by 2030. Brightnight received a US$440 million investment from Goldman Sachs Alternatives. Tenaska is developing the 200MW/800MWh Goldeneye project in Skagit County.
