Qcells commissions 50MW California PV project with Meta PPA in place

The Ocotillo Wells project in California, commissioned by Qcells and owned by Vitol, involves a 50MW/200MWh solar-plus-storage project. Qcells, a Korean-owned solar manufacturer, has contributed significantly to clean energy purchases by US tech companies. President of Qcells USA is IP Kim. Meta, a Silicon Valley tech giant, has signed multiple power purchase agreements for renewable energy, including with Qcells and Pine Gate Renewables. Qcells has partnered with Microsoft and Lumet for solar technology advancements.
