Qcells to deploy Lumet’s fine-line metallization tech

Qcells has agreed to deploy Lumet's ultrafine-line metallization technology for its solar cell line, aiming to reduce silver consumption, costs, and light shading while increasing efficiency. Lumet's technology can produce sub-10 micron finger widths, offering higher cell efficiency and lower costs. Danielle Merfeld at Qcells sees tremendous potential in the technology, emphasizing its breakthrough features. Qcells operates the largest solar panel factory in the United States and has recently partnered with Microsoft for a PV module deal and with Solarcycle for a recycling alliance.
