Recurrent obtains funds for 1.2-GWh storage site in Arizona

Recurrent Energy, a unit of Canadian Solar Inc, secures USD 513 million in project financing for a 1,200-MWh energy storage site in Maricopa County, Arizona. The facility will power about 244,000 homes for four hours a day. Construction starts in Q3 2024, commissioning in Q2 2025. Recurrent already has a 20-year tolling agreement with Arizona Public Service Company.
