Iraqi scientists have explored the use of ground-source energy to cool PV panels, leading to a significant reduction in operating temperature. They utilized CFD simulation with Ansys Fluent 2023 R1 software to circulate cooled air through underground pipes, outperforming traditional ground-cooled water methods. The results showed a remarkable 28% temperature decrease and 6.5% power generation increase, illustrating improved efficiency and performance for photovoltaic panels.
