Renalfa IPP puts largest battery facility in Bulgaria into operation

Renalfa IPP has started the commercial operation of its first utility-scale battery energy storage system in Bulgaria. Solarpro Technology designed and integrated the 25 MW - 55 MWh facility with a 33 MW photovoltaic plant. The BESS in Razlog is the largest in the country connected to the transmission grid. Renalfa IPP aims to hybridize its renewable energy portfolio including wind and PV assets in Hungary and Romania. The company also collaborates with KER Toki Power for grid services and operation in Razlog.
