Renew Home launches virtual power plant solution

A new virtual power plant (VPP) solution named Renew Home has been launched through a partnership between Google Nest Renew and OhmConnect. VPPs combine distributed energy resources to balance electricity supply and demand. DOE estimates show that tripling current VPP scale could address 20% of peak demand by 2030. OhmConnect supports energy alerts and Google Nest offers smart home products. Renew Home aims to coordinate energy use for a clean energy future.
