Renewable energy benefits surpass estimates, says Berkeley Lab

Researchers at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory have developed a new methodology to estimate the value of climate and air quality benefits from wind and solar generation in the United States. They found that wind and solar generation provided $249 billion of health benefits from 2019 to 2022 by preventing significant amounts of CO2, SO2, and NOx emissions.
