RES investors ask for the introduction of guarantees and transparency of connection procedures

The Romanian Wind Energy Association (RWEA) and the Romanian Photovoltaic Industry Association (RPIA) urgently request the authorities in Romania to ensure predictable legislation for fair market access for all electricity production projects in the renewable energy sector. They highlight the challenges related to grid connection, legislative barriers, and the need for at least 15 GW of photovoltaic and wind energy projects by 2030 to align with European targets. The associations advocate for guarantees for connection to the network, transparent connection procedures, and addressing the challenges of RES development within a competitive market.
