Researchers find agrivoltaics have LCOE of $0.039/kWh, 7-year payback time in India

A group of scientists at the SRM Institute of Science and Technology in India compared the performance of a small-sized agrivoltaic system with rooftop PV systems. The agrivoltaic facility had a lower LCOE, shorter payback time, and higher power output. By optimizing crop selection based on local conditions, agrivoltaic systems were found to be highly beneficial for energy production.
