Researchers use artificial neural networks to optimize PV tilt angles

An international group of researchers used feature selection-based artificial neural networks to predict the OTA of PV systems in India. They found that the tilt angle of solar panels is crucial for energy production, with OTA affecting the absorption of sun's rays. Feature selection techniques improved prediction accuracy by up to 90.72%. Six ANN algorithms were tested, showing improvements in mean squared error. The study aims to optimize energy production and make well-informed judgments on solar panel tilt angles.
