Rezolv signs vPPA with telecom giant

T-Mobile Czech Republic, Slovak Telekom, and CE Colo Czech Republic signed cross-border vPPAs with Actis-backed Rezolv Energy for the 461MW VIFOR wind farm in Buzău County, Romania. The project enables the construction of the first phase and plans expansion to 461MW in phase 2. The vPPAs will offtake 100GWh of clean power per year for 12 years. Construction is scheduled to be completed within 18 months, with VIFOR operational before the end of 2025. The project ensures sustainability standards and secured finance loan facilities of up to €291m. Pavel Hadrbolec, CFO at T-Mobile Czech Republic and Slovak Telekom, highlighted the importance of the deal in the decarbonisation journey and energy prices hedging. Alastair Hammond, CEO at Rezolv Energy, emphasized the significance of the cross-border virtual PPAs for Czech and Slovak companies in meeting green electricity demands.
