Rețele Electrice Dobrogea – over 162 mln. lei in Călărași energy infrastructure

Rețele Electrice Dobrogea has launched a procurement procedure for the modernization of medium and low voltage networks in Călărași county, Romania. The project aims to improve energy efficiency and sustainability, benefitting 7,600 customers in five localities. Florin Aprodu, Director of Rețele Electrice Dobrogea, emphasized the importance of creating a more resilient electricity infrastructure. The project includes the installation of new transformer substations, extension of the network, and integration of an automated distribution management system. Investments in underground networks and modernization of transformer substations will enhance energy consumption management and reduce network losses, preparing for the future installation of smart meters.
