Romania aims to roll out 5 GW of energy storage by end 2026

Romanian Minister of Energy, Sebastian Burduja, announced plans for exponential growth of the country's energy storage fleet. By the end of next year, storage capacities are expected to reach at least 2,500 MW and exceed 5,000 MW by 2026. The government has allocated €80 million for energy storage projects to address high energy prices and support the national energy system.
