Romania: European Energy receives 500 MW grid connection approvals

Romania is a promising solar market with grid connections being a bottleneck. European Energy has received grid connection approvals for around 500 MW of solar and wind energy projects in Romania, with a total development pipeline exceeding 1.5 GW. The company is working towards approvals for remaining projects. The renewable energy capacity in Romania is 11.7 GW as of 2023.
