Romania issues call to first CfD auction for wind, solar power

Romania initiated a competitive process for awarding CfD contracts for wind and photovoltaic projects, with the Ministry of Energy aiming to complete the first auction by January 20. The subsidy scheme is valued at EUR 3 billion. Additionally, the European Commission has approved a scheme for 5 GW, with Minister of Energy Sebastian Burduja highlighting Romania's funding acquisition from the Modernisation Fund.
