Rompetrol Rafinare completes a new investment worth USD 13 mln.

Rompetrol Rafinare, a member of the KMG International Group, completed a new investment of USD 13 million for modernizing the Delayed Coking Unit at the Petromidia refinery. The project aimed to improve efficiency, operational safety, and reduce environmental impact. Florian Pop, General Manager of Rompetrol Rafinare, highlighted the significance of the project in terms of development. The investment included upgrading the drilling/cutting system of petroleum coke and automating production flow. The new system allows for reduced cutting cycle time, lower electricity consumption, automated maneuvers, and enhanced employee safety. The works also focused on the valorization of crude oil, obtaining semi-finished products, and improving energy efficiency.
