Rompetrol Rafinare invests 16 mln. USD in new reactors for Petromidia refinery

Rompetrol Rafinare invested $16 million in introducing two modern reactors into the operational flow of the Petromidia refinery in Romania. The investment aims to increase the amount of charged catalyst and improve operational parameters. The reactors were manufactured in Romania and installed by Industrial Montaj. The HDV facility processes diesel mixtures to obtain EURO 5 components for final production. In the first three months of 2024, 943 thousand tons of raw materials were processed, including crude oil of Kazakhstan origin. Rompetrol Rafinare is a significant contributor to Romania's state budget.
