Rondo announces 90 GWh heat battery factory

Rondo Energy, in partnership with Siam Cement Group, is expanding its factory to a 90 GWh capacity in Thailand to produce industrial heat batteries. The 'brick toaster' battery aims to decarbonize the industrial sector by storing electric power as heat using materials like oxygen, silicon, and aluminum. The batteries allow for continuous high-temperature heat production from wind and solar energy, contributing to emissions reduction in various industries.
