DNV found Solcast's historical data and irradiance methodology bankable and above industry standards. Solcast generates over 600 million data values per hour using live satellite imagery, global weather data, and machine learning. DNV's Energy Transition Outlook projects 30% of electricity will come from solar PV by 2050, emphasizing the need for reliable data analytics in the energy market.
