Scottish HVDC links project makes progress

SSEN Transmission and Hitachi Energy have secured a milestone partnership for providing converter stations for subsea links in Scotland. The project aims to unlock Scotland's renewable energy potential in alignment with national net zero and energy security goals. The contracts include initial works such as design, engineering studies, and securing the supply chain for the construction phase before energization in 2030.
