Senate removes obligation to install batteries for prosumers

The Senate plenary voted to remove the provision regarding the mandatory installation of storage batteries for all prosumers. UDMR Senator Antal Lóránt emphasized the importance of not changing rules retroactively for prosumers. The amendment that would have imposed the obligation to install storage facilities for existing prosumers was removed after re-examination by the President and the Senate, eliminating additional costs and technical issues.
