Skyborn begins seabed survey for Pooki wind project off Finnish coast

German developer Skyborn Renewables has launched seabed surveys for its proposed Pooki offshore wind project in Finland. The project has the potential to accommodate over 2 GW. Skyborn was granted rights to develop the scheme in the Finnish territorial waters of the Bothnian Sea in July 2023. The seabed study is carried out by environmental, geophysical, and geotechnical surveys expert MEWO and will continue throughout 2024. The data collected will be used for technical planning and the upcoming environmental impact assessment (EIA) process.
