Slovenia publishes draft agrisolar rulebook for public debate

The government of Slovenia issued a draft rulebook on agrivoltaics, allowing photovoltaic panels on supporting structures above orchards. The aim is to preserve fertile soil and ensure agricultural land is used efficiently. The document proposes stringent rules to limit the impact of solar power facilities on food production. Agrisolar concept is gaining traction, with developers incorporating agricultural activities at solar sites. New regulations stipulate that solar panels must be semitransparent and cover no more than 70% of the total land area.
