An international research group has developed an active cooling technique for solar panels using an inclined channel and two jets of nanofluids. The system involves a double jet of nanofluid in a 2D channel below a heating plate attached to the photovoltaic panel. By testing the system, researchers found that the modification of the inclination angle has a limited effect on heat transfer and irreversibility. When nanoparticle concentration reaches 8%, there is a 15% increase in created entropy, which could result in significant deterioration. Increasing the number of jets and their angle may address the entropy issue by enhancing heat transfer with minimization of created entropy.
