The Chinese Module Marker (CMM) price assessment for FOB China M10 mono module remained at a 13-week low of $0.224/W on May 2. The market traded sideways with several Asian countries, including China, on a brief hiatus for the May 1 Labor Day holiday. Despite lower-than-expected overseas demand, CMM stayed low but the Global Polysilicon Marker (GPM) fell 3.01% to $35.831/kg. Sellers resisted lowering offers for FOB China modules with expectations of firm domestic demand in China. The price spread between FOB China module and FOB China M10 cell remained narrow at $0.084/W on May 2 but has been declining since January, affecting margins for non-integrated module producers.
