US retailer Target has established itself as a leader in sustainability by having solar installations in over 25% of its stores. Their sustainability strategy, Target Forward, aims for net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040. Recently, Target updated its solar equipment in a Los Angeles facility, replacing legacy modules with a state-of-the-art system. Decom Solar LLC handled the decommissioning, guaranteeing proper handling of solar equipment. Solarcycle, a recycling company, processes the modules for reuse, while PowerFlex leads the installation of new energy solutions.
