Solar tariffs could ‘unintentionally cede US leadership’

The United States has resumed solar AD/CVD tariffs affecting solar components from Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, and Cambodia. Clean Energy Associates and ACORE released a report on tariff risks. US Energy Information Administration mentioned delays in solar generation capacity due to tariffs. US Department of Commerce is expected to issue preliminary determinations. ACORE's president warned of potential loss of US leadership in the solar industry. CEA highlighted the gap in the US solar supply chain. The report emphasized the need for the US to build solar cell capacity to meet demand.
