Solatio to develop 4GW solar PV project in Brazil

Solatio, a solar company, signed an MoU with the Piauí state government to develop a 4GW solar PV plant in Bom Princípio do Piauí. The plant will supply power for the production of green hydrogen in Parnaíba. Solatio claims it will be Brazil's largest solar PV plant with an investment of BRL$25 billion. Brazil has seen an increase in solar PV projects, as shown by the import of 17.5GW of modules. Q1 2023 started with a 60% decrease in imports due to credit access difficulties and high interest rates.
