Southern Power switches on 150-MW solar park in Wyoming

Southern Power announced the commencement of commercial operations at its 150-MW South Cheyenne solar power plant in Wyoming. Acquired from Qcells USA Corp, a subsidiary of South Korea's Hanwha Group, the plant represents Southern Power's expansion into Wyoming's clean energy sector. The power generated will be sold under a 20-year power purchase agreement to Cheyenne Light, Fuel and Power, servicing a data center client.
