The government-owned renewable energy company of Catalonia, Energètica, has initiated a public procurement process to purchase ground-mounted solar parks with a capacity of up to 5 MW. They plan to prioritize new construction projects based on cost and social acceptance. Projects embracing energy communities, self-supply, environmental impact reduction, EU components, and territorial distribution will be favored. Energètica will invest a minimum of €100,000 per project and must secure at least 5% ownership. Interested companies need to submit bids by July 31 for due diligence checks before purchase.
