ESS Renewables and Gilkes Energy plan to develop a 1.8 GW/ 37GWh Fearna Pumped Hydro Energy Storage project in Loch Fearna, Scotland. The project involves tunnels and a new power station connecting existing reservoirs at Loch Quoich and Loch Fearna. The project aims to begin commercial operations in the mid-2030s.
