Study finds excessive row spacing has limited effect on improving PV system performance

A group of researchers led by the University of Science and Technology of China investigated the influence of solar module row spacing on a PV system's temperature and efficiency. They found that excessive row spacing does not significantly cool the panels but ensuring full irradiance is crucial for power yield. Larger row spacing did not achieve expected cooling effect. They concluded that row spacing should be minimized for land utilization and emphasized considering factors like irradiance and wind speed for system output improvement.
