Sumitomo enters India's corporate renewable PPA market

Japanese trader Sumitomo Corp has partnered with AMPIN Energy Transition Private Ltd to establish AMPIN C&I Power Private Ltd, offering solar and wind PPAs to commercial and industrial clients in India. The new holding company aims to supply 1 GW to industry customers in India within the next few years, focusing on Japanese-affiliated companies. The project has a total cost of around JPY 100 billion.
