Taiwan improves PPA rules for renewables

Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (MoEA) has amended regulations on green electricity purchases allowing industrial and large energy consumers to buy portions or from multiple facilities. The government aims to increase the proportion of green electricity with more frequent transactions. The country's PV capacity stands at 13.6 GW and is expected to reach 26 GW of cumulative installed solar capacity by the end of 2026.
