Ternary organic solar cell based on dimerized small molecule achieves 18.12% efficiency

Scientists from Shenzhen's Southern University of Science and Technology in China have designed a dimerized small molecule donor, DSMD-βV, for ternary organic solar cells, achieving high-performance with a power conversion efficiency of 18.26%. The research paper emphasized the importance of developing a third component for maximizing efficiency in organic cells.
